- Hearing the first version of your song costs nothing. Nothing is charged until you choose to give the full song.
- Your email is used to send your song and sign you in. Offers come only if you tick that box yourself.
- Your words and photos are kept only while we make your gift and while you can still ask for what it includes, then deleted. The finished song stays on a private link for 12 months from delivery; download to keep.
We use the name, the from-line and the words you type, and for a video your photos, to write the song, make the lyric video, the cover and the video, and deliver them. When you add photos, we check them automatically to find the birthday person’s face and to make sure the photos suit the video. We keep your words and photos, including the message in a “Something not right?” report, while we make and deliver your gift, while you can still ask for what it includes (such as a second version or adding a video), and while we help with a problem on your order. Then we delete them. While we keep them, only a few people on our team, and the tools they use, can open them, and only to make your gift, help you, or find and fix problems in how gifts are made. We never sell them, never use them for advertising, and we never use them to train AI. What you send our support team stays in our support mailbox. The finished song and video, the cover, the title, the name and the from-line are kept for 12 months from delivery behind a private link that you can revoke. Only people with the link can play it, and it is not listed or indexed anywhere. A note you add for the recipient shows on that link, under the song, until we delete your words. We create the link when the gift is delivered, so the delivery email can show it. When the link is shared in a chat, the app’s link preview shows the recipient’s first name, the from-line and the cover. The song’s sung words stay with your gift for 12 months. You sign in with Apple or Google; Firebase provides sign-in and account storage. After you sign in we may email you an occasional offer for our own songs; say no thanks when you sign in, or tap “No more offers” in any email. With Hide My Email, we write to Apple’s relay address. Stripe handles the payment; we never receive or store your card details, and payment and refund records are kept where accounting, disputes or the law need them. To write and sing the song, what you type goes to the AI services we use: OpenAI, Anthropic and Google (Gemini) write the words and plan the song, and ElevenLabs and Suno sing it and listen back to it. For a video, your photos also go to OpenAI, Anthropic or Google for the photo check and the video plan, and to fal.ai, HeyGen or Google for the video itself. Resend sends our emails. These providers process only what is needed to make and deliver your order, and may keep it under their own terms, for example for security and abuse prevention. BirthdayClip is operated by NEXT SENSE AI LTD in the United Kingdom. Write to hello@birthdayclip.com for access or deletion requests.
Measurement. We use Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement and the Meta Pixel to learn which pages and ads bring people here and which lead to a gift. In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Québec we ask first, with a short banner: “We use cookies to measure our site and ads.” Analytics cookies are set only if you accept; if you decline, Google receives cookieless signals only. In Google’s terms this is Consent Mode: until you choose, and after a decline, no analytics or advertising cookie is set and Google receives only cookieless signals (the page, the event and the time, under no identifier that lasts), from which it estimates aggregate counts. In the United States, the rest of Canada, Australia and New Zealand, measurement cookies are set when the page loads and you can turn them off at any time with the switch below; a browser that sends Global Privacy Control is treated as having turned them off. Wherever you are, we build no advertising profile and no remarketing list. When measurement is on, Google Analytics and Google Ads set their cookies so that a visit, and a purchase, can be attributed to the ad or the search that brought you here; a purchase is also reported from our server to Google Analytics, and to Google Ads with the ad-click identifier from the link you arrived on, together with the amount and an opaque order number. With a purchase we may also give Google Ads your email address in hashed form, a one-way code that cannot be turned back into the address, so Google can match the sale to an ad it showed you (Google calls this enhanced conversions); it is used only to count that sale, never for an advertising profile, and only when measurement is on. When measurement is on, the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland) also runs on our public pages, never on your order, your Studio or a private link, so Meta can tell which Facebook or Instagram ad brought you here and whether you went on to the price and the Buy button; it reads no button text and no form. A purchase is reported from our server to Meta with the amount, an opaque order number, the pixel's cookies, your browser's user agent and your email address in hashed form, only to count that sale and match it to an ad Meta showed you. Our own server also counts what happens on the page, such as a sample played or the order form opened, together with the country your connection comes from; it sets no cookie and keeps no identifier on your device for this. When you are signed in and measurement is on, those counts also carry a short one-way code made from your account, so we can tell that the same person came back without knowing who they are; it never goes to Google or Meta. Measurement never receives a photo, a name, a detail, the payment email in readable form or the private link. One necessary cookie keeps your unfinished gift on this browser for up to 73 hours, so you can come back to it; it is never used for measurement or ads.
If you hear your song before you buy it, we email you once when it’s ready, and keep it and your words only as this page describes.
